Season 8: Heartache
First off:
DIRECTOR JENSEN!
Isn't he amazing guys? I mean I KNEW he'd be amazing. We've seen how many episodes of his now? Three and counting? But he always manages to knock me off my feet. Jensen is definitely going to go places in the directing world if he decides to focus on that. Superb.
I really enjoyed this episode! It definitely had a lot of Supernatural elements that I know and love. I mean gore and grotesque things? THAT is Supernatural. The storyline was unique and rather interesting. It was a nice case with a lot of creepiness that makes me feel at home.
And only in Supernatural fandom can you admit to that lol.
Alan Ackles anyone? Wasn't he amazing. His voice man he sounds JUST LIKE Jensen. Or I believe it is Jensen sounds just like him. Rich, throaty voices. He did amazing. Here's to him maybe being in more episodes *crosses fingers*
The only thing I am disappointed in is that I was under the impression this episode would be Sam heavy. Was really sad to see only maybe 1 minute of flashbacks at the end. THOUGH I think we are getting closer to an answer about Sam.
I just want to say the boys are definitely talking. Dean's actually ADMITTING to stuff. He's discussing how he feels and so is Sam. They are trying to see where they both stand in their relationship. I know I know CONFLICT but guys this is GOOD. This is PROGRESS. Dean's angry of course but he's not being an all consuming dick. He's not punching Sam or yelling. They are actually TALKING. Like adults. Sam's not hiding what he's feeling in regards to Amelia and his life.
I mean Dean had those moments in Season 6 where he questioned if he should hunt. If he should just stay with Lisa and Ben and try and make this work. This is Sam's turn. He's confused about what he wants and what's right. I think everyone deserves a moment of indecisiveness especially this Season.
A lot of questions to be answered:

- Dean's attitude while refreshing is a bit too eager. He said purgatory felt pure. What does this mean?
- Benny. What is Benny up to. I can't help feeling uneasy about him because his motives aren't pure.
- What happened to Sam? We see Sam terrified when he can't find Amelia. That's definitely PTSD symptoms. I think the answer to this is more human than we will expect.
- Overall what is going to happen to Sam and Dean? Will their relationship come to a head and explode? They both want different things right now and neither quite understands the others motives anymore.
- What is Crowley up to? What about Kevin and his Mom?
Overall I think this Season will be explosive, in terms of a lot of things we aren't expecting. Which is GOOD. Nothing sucks more than knowing what's going to happen, especially with Supernatural.
I've been seeing a lot of accurate things on tumblr getting reblogged that I want to mention.
As hard as it was to watch that scene with Dean and Sam in the car, I am just so glad that they’re communicating and both talking about how they see their relationship and where it’s going. I think their relationship is ultimately going to be stronger this season because of tough conversations like those. (Via pumpkincollins)

zimshan'smeta about Sam in Season 8. Really well thought out and it pertains to this Season.
So overall how is this Season going? I think my initial reaction to Amelia has been reviewed. She seemed really sweet to remember Sam's birthday and give him a picnic (even while unintentionally giving him a heart attack) Dean's emotions are a bit too eager? Is that the right word. He's definitely not exactly right. He's to over eager for the hunt, remind you of Gordon hmmm? Purgatory did some damage and I like that we're seeing the cracks begin to show, see how Dean's not exactly Dean.
Also this is totally unrelated but OMG DEAN SAMMY ARE YOU LONG LOST COUSINS OF SNOOKI? WHAT WAS THAT ORANGE TANS BBS NO.
It's definitely not makeup it has to be spray tan. And whoever applied it did HORRIBLE. Dean almost passed off as Snooki tonight omg especially in the farmer's market scene. I mean Jared's always been tan, Jensen's always been sort of white so I guess it stands out much more on Jensen.
Phew sorry that annoyed me.
