Can you believe our little show that could is set to premiere it's 8TH SEASON tomorrow? Me neither. It feels like it was just yesterday that I was watching the Pilot premiere!
Now look at us, all dead set in purgatory, new characters coming, new showrunner more boys! <3 I'm super excited as I'm sure you can tell. Let's look back on our shows previous premieres shall we? Take a stroll down memory lane with me.
Season 1: The Pilot
Ahhhh the pilot. Who could forget our first ever episode? Well I don't think anyone can after seeing this on our screens. It was the catalyst where we first met Sam and Dean and heard about their family and their story, and admit it after seeing this episode you KNEW your lives weren't ever going to be the same and it'd be one wild ride of a journey ahead of us.

Season 2: In My Time Of Dying
The explosive finale of Season 1 left us all hanging from the seed of our pants. A semi hit the Impala and eerily enough Bad Moon Rising played alluding us to trouble ahead. And trouble the boys faced, while Dean was hanging in the middle of a life or death situation, Sam, grieving for his brother could mysteriously sense his presence even managing to talk to Dean through a Ouija board. Of course Dean's miraculous recovery was at a price of John's life. While many of us were just getting used to John and thinking of the three Winchesters facing the big bad, he was suddenly ripped away from us all leaving Sam and Dean to face the world and the mysteries of the demon and John's secret by themselves.

Season 3: The Magnificent Seven
As the end of Season 2 wrapped up with the shocking events of Sam's death and Dean's deal, we saw a parallel to Season 1. The boys loading the Impala's trunk and saying 'We got work to do.' and that they did. We already begin to see the effects of Dean's impending death on Sam as he searches relentlessly for a way to break Dean out of the deal, Dean's cocky I don't care attitude is very evident throughout this episode but as Season 3 progressed you see that it slowly fades to true emotion: fear. As we meet new hunters during Season 3 and Bobby becomes a somewhat permanent fixture in the boys lives we could only grip our seats in anticipation of the hell ride this was, pun intended.

Season 4: Lazarus Rising
Leaving off with Dean's gory death and scene of him in Hell screaming for his brother left so many unanswered questions. Where's Sam? What happened to him? Is Dean really dead? What's Hell in terms of Supernatural? We find out Sam's been doing less than savory things while Dean was away and Dean's time in Hell is hitting him harder than things previously did. We were used to him bouncing back somehow making it through but Dean was seriously messed up from his time down under. We re-meet Ruby in a new meat suit and a mysterious angel Castiel whom we never believed even existed. The bigger picture of the show began to take shape as Dean and Sam's bonds were stretched to their limits as they LITERALLY fought heaven and hell to survive.

Season 5: Sympathy For The Devil
Lines were crossed that may never be able to go back to how they were again. The boys unknowingly let Lucifer free, realizing that heaven and hell played them both like fiddles all to easily. As Sam and Dean fight for common ground against and insurmountable task, they have to rediscover their special bond and both get bushed to their breaking points as friend and foe begin to blur. We were all devastated to see their bond in such shambles but we never quit rooting for them all the way even when things seemed impossible and team free will seemed to be losing their stamina.

Season 6: Exile On Main street
Kicking off from the heartbreaking finale, fans were shocked to learn that we actually got another season since Season 5 was always the end all be all. Thankful as we were, we were locked in horror at seeing Dean all domesticated and Sam well? Sam wasn't right. What happened to Sam with Lucifer and Michael? Will Dean stay with Lisa and Ben? What's going on with the monsters? This set up the game play for a season filled with mystery and bigger things as we learned along with Dean about Sam's cold nature and the mysterious reappearance of their grandfather who was killed by the yellow eyed demon. Not everything was as it seems as once thought friends turn out to be the bigger foe in this dangerous game of cat and mouse. Whose the mouse this time?

Season 7: Meet The New Boss
Leaving off with the shocking Season 6 finale we learned that all along Castiel was the true foe we should watch out for. Ruthlessly breaking Sam's wall for his own end game, Castiel sucked in the souls of purgatory and changed into a being referring to himself as God. How can Sam and Dean even begin to kill someone who was their friend? Can they even do it? Or is this new God too powerful? Questions were rampant as Castiel slowly began to crumble under the force of the Leviathans who were seeming to eat him whole. Are the Leviathans too tough for the Winchesters? Sam, Dean and Bobby all had to gang together while Sam struggled with reality in this wild season premiere trying to once again save what they have left.

Season 8: We Need To Talk About Kevin

Who knows what this Season has in store? All we can do is speculate given the spoilers we've received from cast and crew and other sources.
All I know is it's going to be a very wild, enjoyable ride for us all as we explore new outlooks, new characters and reconnect everyone's favorite brothers Sam and Dean. Hold on tight!
