Long time no see?

Hey all *waves* been quite a while since I made a personal post. *knocks* is anyone left? lol I've seen plenty of friends come and go over the course of the years, who would have thought Supernatural would last this long? I don't think anything could have prepared us.
However, the show has always been an enigma and the underdog. I remember when Season 1 was airing on the WB. I also fondly remember catching the pilot midway (the specific scene on the bridge) and falling in love right then and there. It's weird to reminisce because a lot of people ask me how can you be in love with a show? I've been labeled strange, weird, a freak before due to my obsession (however toned down that is right now) but to be honest I never did care.
I've met some of the most amazing, kind, intelligent people. Had the most interesting conversations and met my best friend.
How can you look down upon something like that?
Sorry for the sappiness I guess my life has been going pretty good recently.
For starters, I have myself a boyfriend. We've been dating for about 2 months going on our 3rd. We met at college in a joint class we shared. I've known him for quite some time because I've had other classes with him, and he later admitted to me in the first class we shared which was English Comp he wanted to ask me out or give me his number but he was too scared ^*^
The relationship is going great, likely the best one I ever had. We are talking about getting an apartment together sometime in the near future.

I graduate this coming fall with my AA in Education.

I can't teach yet without a Bachelor's, however that means I can quit this horrible job I have now and find something a lot more decent with better pay. I'll of course keep my job until I find something solid but this job has been nothing but making me stressed and miserable. I'm currently investigating other possibilities right now like being a paraprofessional, or a teacher's aide.
Fandom wise: I still watch Supernatural every week. I'm mainly on tumblr but my queue does my posting most of the time. I'm not as strong in fandom due to a lot of drama, fighting, and general disrespectful fans, however, I still write meta when I am inspired. People always ask me fandom questions on tumblr and I answer them. I still read fanfiction. I haven't wrote anything in awhile due to getting largely discouraged with my last works. I would like to finish timestamps and sequels I have currently if I could. Maybe in the summer possibly.
But basically I am the same old girl. Except when I started all this I was 12 now I'm 20 going on 21 in June. With a boyfriend, a job, and a career path through school. It's kind of weird how fast things change?

Date: 2014-04-03 03:14 pm (UTC)Grats on the bf and the degree. Don't let one outshine the other, if you know what I mean. :)
Regarding SPN, I still watch loyally, but it hasn't provided me with nearly as much excitement as it once did. I had never been a huge fan of Castiel (I know this is lynching material) or the whole angel subplot which turned into a real plot.
I miss John, Bobby, (even Adam!) family ghost hunting and everything that made the show awesome. Now it's all bickering between Sam and Dean and sexual tension with annoyingly unimportant characters.
Ah well, Jared and Jensen continue to deliver in their roles, even though I'm not particularly fond of their roles right now.
I write solely in the Hobbit fanfic realm right now, and have been pretty prolific. I'm ThornyHedge on tumblr and Ao3 if you have any interest in Durincest or AUs where Dean O'Gorman, Aidan Turner and Richard Armitage have copious relations.
Still here. :)

Date: 2014-04-03 04:05 pm (UTC)Yeah, even now I am getting anxiety about the job due to drama in the workplace with fellow coworkers. The faster I find something new the better for me that's for sure.
